City Breaks - Paris, London, Rome?

It’s great to get away from it all from time to time by booking a city break. A city break is the ideal way to relax, explore, enjoy a shopping expedition, be pampered or catch some sun without taking you away from work for too long.  The advent of low cost flights means it is now even easier to enjoy city breaks. A quick trip to Paris, Amsterdam, Barcelona, Rome or Milan can recharge the batteries and a romantic holiday all wrapped up in one.

Booking a city break couldn’t be easier with the number of low cost airlines, charter airlines and scheduled carriers operating alongside various flight brokers and price comparison websites.

Finding accommodation

Apartments are popular options when booking city breaks, whilst hotels and B&Bs offer a certain level of service, many people enjoy the space and ‘home comforts’ of booking a self-catering apartment for their trip. It is always recommended to book ahead of leaving when heading off for a quick few days away, especially in high season.

Typically a break is a short duration of two to four days so it’s important that you plan properly to ensure you make good use of your time. You can do most of your research and planning using tourist guide websites. If you’re an historian research the museums. If you’re a theatre-goer check online for date sand times of productions that may be perforned during your stay.

Food lovers should search for popular local restaurants and where possible book tables in advance. Friday and Saturday nights are busy nights for dining out and often finding a table at the best restaurants can be very difficult.
